Restaurants near Bali airport

Not sure about you, but we’re always a little worried of getting hungry on a flight. Yes, we know we can order food on board, and there are plenty of restaurants at the airport, but old habits die hard, lol. We like to squeeze in one last meal on the way to the airport, just in case.

And if you’re on holiday in Bali, surely you’d want to enjoy every last minute on the island before heading home, right? If you’re the same, here are some of our usual stops for a bite before take-off. Hopefully, you’ll find a new favourite along the way!

Dijon

They have been around for ages, and after all this time, it remains one of those comforting, reliable spots we keep coming back to. The menu is pretty international, making it a safe bet if you’re dining with a group or family. There are options like soups, sandwiches, wraps, salads and plenty more to choose from. Plus, there’s plenty of parking space, which is always a bonus!

Bali Bakery

Another Bali OG that so far has never let us down. If you’re short on time, there’s a good selection of pastries to grab for a quick bite or take away. But we hope that you can spare a little time, and settle in for some proper Indonesian comfort food, like a hearty bowl of sop buntut (oxtail soup) or soto ayam (chicken soup). They also serve pasta, pizza and other international favourites.

Ume

Their menu covers all the usual brunch favourites like eggs Benedict and big breakfasts if you need to fuel up before your morning flight, or keep things light with salads and sandwiches. If you’re feeling hungrier, there are also pasta dishes and Asian favourites to choose from. Ps. they’re close to Krisna, if you need to squeeze in some last-minute souvenir shopping before heading to the airport.

For those who like their pre-flight stops with a little extra charm, this spot will have you feeling like you’ve been transported straight to Nagoya, with Japanese favourites like chicken curry, onigiri and sandwiches on the menu. If you just want to kill some time before heading to the airport, their coffee menu ranges from classic black to something a little more naughty, hehe. And don’t even get us started on the Japanese desserts!

Uncle Pipin

With two locations near the airport, Uncle Pipin is a handy stop if you’re craving a proper feast before or after your flight. They specialise in Singkawang-style dishes, a city in West Kalimantan known for its Chinese-Indonesian culinary heritage. The menu is packed with hearty comfort food, from nasi campur and fried rice to fried noodles, congee and fried chicken. Good luck picking just one!

Warung Okinawa

Here’s a little two-in-one stop for you: a Japanese restaurant serving Okinawan-style dishes, right next to Papaya Fresh Gallery, a Japanese Supermarket. Fill your tummy first, then pop next door to grab some Japanese snacks for the flight, hehe. It’s located just off Sunset Road, so getting there by car is pretty easy and straightforward.

Where to Go for Burgers in Bali - Kata Bella's List 2026

Where to go for Burgers in Bali Sometimes you go on holiday and make it your mission to try all the local food, eat at all the new places, and be as adventurous as possible. But every now and then, you just want something easy and familiar, like a good burger. There’s something comforting about a soft bun, a juicy patty, some cheese and sauce...hmm yum yum! Lucky for you, Bali is a place where you can pretty much find whatever kind of meal you’re craving. So if you’ve had your fill of local food and are craving a little comfort, here are some of our usual burger spots in Bali. And wile the burgers are definitely the star, their paninis are worth trying too, and we’re also fans of the chips. They have branches in Umalas, Canggu, Uluwatu, Kedungu and Ubud, so there’s a good chance you’ll find one close to you. 📍Locations: https://daengburgerbali.com/store Lihat post ini di Instagram Pit Stop Pit Stop and I go way back. From late-night munchies after a night out, to my brief vegetarian era (yes, I tried it once and their chickpea and tempe burger did not disappoint!) And now back to my meat-eating era, I’ve pretty much worked my way through their entire burger menu - except the lamb and the beef brisket, simply because I’m not a lamb person and I haven't had the chance to try the brisket burger - but I'm sure they're good. Ps. they're open 24 hours! 📍Google Map: Pit Stop Burger Seminyak Image credit: Pit Stop Burger Instagram Five Monkeys I used to go to Five Monkeys a lot when I worked in Legian - but I always went for their chilli cheese fries, not the burgers. That was until one day I had lunch there with a friend and decided to give their burger a try, and it was actually really good! I later found out that they have branches in other major cities in Indonesia. The one in Legian has now moved to Kuta, and there's another outlet in Bali's biggest shopping centre, Living World. 📍Google Map: Living World Bali Image credit: Five Monkeys Instagram You may also like this article: Restaurants in Legian and Seminyak - Kata Bella's Picks 2026 Grill'd This Australian burger chain keeps things light without compromising on flavour. The burgers taste just like the ones in Australia in my opinion, and you can customise your order with your choice of bun, including a gluten-free option. There are also chicken and vegan burgers, plus fried chicken for when you’re extra hungry. 📍Google Map: Grill'd Burgers - Bali Image credit: Grilld Burger Bali Instagram Mr. Smash Burger As the name suggests, this place does literally smashed patties, stacked into a proper burger. You can choose from sizes S to XXL, depending on how many patties you’re feeling, all tucked into a soft brioche bun. And just like any good burger joint should, they’ve got all the extras for a full indulgence; crispy chips, fried chicken and milkshakes. If you're not in the mood for a classic patty, they also do an 18-hour smoked beef brisket burger, which is definitely worth a try. 📍Google Map: 2080 Burger Uluwatu Image credit: 2080 Burger Instagram Bo$$man You probably know this one already, but it just has to be mentioned. Bali on a Budget: Cheap Eats in Canggu for Under 100K

Cheap Eats in Canggu When friends ask me, “Is Bali expensive?”, it’s not really a yes or no answer - it really depends on your lifestyle, what you like, what you need, what you’re used to...and what you eat. I’m a local, so my diet is pretty simple: chicken and rice is already more than enough. I’m also always happy with tempe, stir-fried veggies, and rice for just around 20K a plate. But if you’re here on holiday, you might want to treat yourself - and it’s very easy to spend 500K or even 1 million per person on a nice steak or a proper indulgent dining experience. And if you’re travelling Bali on a budget, warung (a small local eatery serving pre-cooked, homemade Indonesian dishes) is your best friend, along with these spots around Canggu I’ve carefully curated that are affordable, clean, and less likely to give you Bali belly. Cheap Eats in Canggu You may also like this article: 5 Must-Visit Coffee Shops in Canggu, Umalas, and Nearby Areas THE GOOD OLD WARUNGS Warung Sika This is probably my most-visited warung in Canggu. I love it because they have such an extensive menu - some dishes rotate, but many are available every day. Try the tempe orek (stir-fried tempe), chicken rendang, bakwan jagung (corn fritters), and pretty much any of the veggie dishes - they’re all good. Just a heads-up: it can get super busy around lunchtime, so be prepared to queue, or try coming before or after 12. đź’° Price range: IDR 25K-75K/ meal ⏰ Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 9am-9pm 📍 Address: Jl. Tanah Barak No.45, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali Image credit: Warung Sika Instagram Warung Jawa Bu Sri I think this warung is underrated. But if you want true Indo flavours, the kind we actually eat every day (not the adjusted versions for tourists), this is where you should go. You’ll find proper local dishes like pecel (steamed veggies with peanut sauce), ayam suwir balado (shredded chilli chicken), and Javanese-style rendang. Sri is the name of the super lovely lady who owns and runs the warung. đź’° Price range: IDR 15K-30K/ meal ⏰ Opening hours:  📍 Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong Br No.19, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali Image credit: Warung Jawa Bu Sri Instagram Warung Makan Siang This is the kind of warung that makes you feel like you’ve just dropped by a friend’s place and she’s cooked for you, hehe. The space is small, but just right. They’ve got all the usual Indonesian favourites on rotation, and every now and then there are special dishes like rawon (black beef soup) or sayur lodeh (vegetable soup with coconut milk). They also often stock desserts and iced coffee from local home businesses, which makes it feel even more homely. đź’° Price range: IDR 25K-50K ⏰ Opening hours: Monday to Friday, 11.30am-4pm 📍 Address: Jl. Beringin, Dalung, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali Image credit: Warung Makan Siang Instagram Warung Local I’ve been a customer since they first opened and I once sold my homemade cookies there, hehe. It’s great to see them growing bigger now (literally, space-wise). If you’re new to warung food, Warung Local is a good place to start. The flavours are “Indonesian enough” for us locals, but not too heavy on the seasoning, if you know what I mean. It’s also on the main Batu Bolong street, so it’s really easy to spot. đź’° Price range: IDR 50K-90K ⏰ Opening hours: Monday to Sunday 10am-10pm 📍 Address: Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.10, Canggu, Badung, Bali Image credit: Warung Local Instagram Warung Tiga Tiga means three, and yes - it’s the same as Warung Dua (two) in Umalas. I’d call this an elevated version of an Indo warung, because aside from the Indonesian menu, they also have Western favourites like lasagna and quiches, plus some healthier options - quite a few salad choices too. Price-wise, it’s adjusted to what they offer, so it’s more expensive than a regular warung, but still affordable. đź’° Price range: IDR 50K-90K ⏰ Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 7am-11pm 📍 Address: Jl. Nelayan No.27, Canggu, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali Image credit: Warung Tiga Instagram You may also like this article: Bali Home Bakeries to Sweeten Your Celebrations RICE BOWL, NOODLES, AND EVERYTHING ELSE Nasigo Rice bowls are probably the best fix when you’re busy and starving. Rice and protein in one container - whoever came up with that, thank you! Nasigo has a solid range of chicken options, from teriyaki to green chilli, starting from just 35K. If you’re more into beef, they’ve got ground beef with basil and a beef patty from 45K. Portions are generous too.  And if you’re in the mood for something sweet, their iced matcha latte is a nice pick from just 35K. Get both a rice bowl and a matcha, and you’re still spending under 100K - not bad at all. đź’° Price range: From IDR 35K-45K ⏰ Opening hours: Monday to Saturday, 11am - 8pm 📍 Address: Jl. Raya Babakan Canggu No.91, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali  Image credit: Nasigo Instagram Daeng Burger Not all burgers in Canggu are pricey -  some are still super affordable (but also decent), like Daeng Burger. They’ve got a wide range from classic beef burgers to chicken and vegetarian options, but my personal favourite is their Morrokowich panini. It’s got grilled harissa chicken, cheddar cheese, pico de gallo, rocket, and tzatziki sauce, and very delicious for just….drumroll please…59K! Woot woot! đź’° Price range: 59K-90K ⏰ Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 11am - 1am 📍 Address: Jl. Raya Babakan Canggu No.33A, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali Image credit: Daeng Burger Instagram Warung Ayu Ayam Bakar Ala Jimbaran This is a proper local Indo grilled chicken and seafood spot, but I’ve taken so many of my foreign friends here and they’ve all loved it so far. It’s done in that Jimbaran-style grilling; smoky, slightly sweet, nicely charred, and super flavourful, without having to drive all the way to Jimbaran. You can get a simple plate of rice and grilled chicken from just 45K, or go for a sharing platter that works for 2 up to 10 people if you’re coming with a group. You can also order your favourite seafood individually, from grilled fish to prawns, and more, and build your own feast. Super flexible, super satisfying, and great value for money.  đź’° Price range: 45K-90K ⏰ Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 11am - 10pm 📍 Address: Jl. Pererenan, Kec. Mengwi, Kabupaten Badung, Bali Image credit: Warung Ayu Google page You may also like this article: Brunch in Bali - Rediscovering Legian through Farmer’s Daughter Amy Wong Sometimes I’m in the mood for some Chinese-Indo comfort food, and when that craving hits, I always order from Amy Wong. They’ve got a cute little space, but somehow I always order online and I pretty much stick to the same thing every time: kwetiau goreng spesial (stir-fried rice noodles). Fun fact: when Indos put “spesial” on the menu, it usually means you’re getting the full upgrade; either a fried egg on top and/or all the extra topping, hehe. And also, don’t skip their fried bakso (Indo-style meatballs) for a snack! đź’° Price range: 25K-60K ⏰ Opening hours: Monday to Sunday, 11am - 9pm 📍 Address:  Jl. Pantai Berawa, Tibubeneng, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali  Image credit: Amy Wong Instagram Mie and More This little noodle shack makes one of the best Sichuan noodles I’ve had. Also, they added chicken and beef curry noodles to the menu, which is very dangerous (for my self-control). Be careful with their chilli oil - it’s so good you’ll want to pour a lot, but it packs a punch. And complete your noodles with a side of dumplings. They’ve got options from chicken, beef, pork, to mushroom. đź’° Price range: From IDR 50K ⏰ Opening hours: Mon, Wed-Sat, 1pm-12am, Tue 4pm-12am, Sun 7pm-12am 📍 Address:  Jl. Pantai Batu Bolong No.26, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali  Image credit: Mie and More Instagram Happy Pork Rendang Rendang, but make it pork. It might be controversial in some parts of Indonesia, but clearly not in Bali, especially when it’s this good. True to the name, they specialise in pork rendang (that rich, slow-cooked Indonesian dry curry we all love). You can have it the classic way with rice, or switch things up with rendang nasi goreng, a rendang rice burger, or even a burrito. I’ve only tried it the traditional way so far, but I’m sure the rest of the menu is just as good. đź’° Price range: From IDR 25K ⏰ Opening hours: Mon-Sun, 8am-10pm 📍 Address: Jl. Raya Babakan Canggu No.27, Kec. Kuta Utara, Badung, Bali Image credit: Happy Pork Rendang Instagram So, what do you think? Is Bali expensive? It really depends on how you choose to experience it. Here are just a few of my regular places around Canggu - and of course, the list will continue. What I like about living in Bali (or in Indonesia in general) is that it doesn’t force you into one way of living. You can keep it ultra-local with a 20K plate of rice from a humble warung, or go for the fancy options - both are valid ways to enjoy the island. Thank you for reading!

Kids Friendly Restaurants in Bali with Playgrounds

Kids Friendly Restaurants in Bali with Playgrounds We’ve reached that age where catching up with friends often means meeting their little ones too, and sometimes the whole family comes along for the ride! Haha. So yes, even though none of us at Kata Bella have kids of our own, we kinda know a thing or two about kids-friendly spots now, especially when it comes to places to eat. And among the many kids-friendly restaurants in Bali, we’ve picked the ones with playgrounds, because the little bosses deserve to have some fun too, while the parents yap away, hehe. And with many places in Bali blessed with outdoor space, the kids can run around, burn off some energy, instead of being glued to a gadget at the table. So, whether you’re planning your next Bali trip with the family or living here and looking for somewhere new to bring the kids, here are a few spots worth saving for your next family day out. It’s less touristy than the other popular neighbourhoods like Seminyak or Canggu. One spot to add to your list is La Loba Oase Rasa, a restaurant designed with families in mind. There’s plenty of space for everyone to spread out, including a large lawn with an outdoor playground, and a semi indoor playground too. As for the menu, it’s extensive, with pretty much all the Indonesian favourites you could possibly crave. 📍Google map: La Loba Oase Rasa Lihat post ini di Instagram Tiny Cafe - Canggu This place is pretty much heaven for both kids and parents! The little ones can let their imaginations run wild in a tiny playhouse, complete with adorable little sections for a kitchen, shop and laundry room. Best of all, it’s all within sight of the main dining area, so parents can enjoy their meal while keeping an eye on the kiddos. And there's another little detail that we find too cute; a tiny Alice in Wonderland-esque door leading to the toilet, making us wish we could be kids again.  📍Google map: Tiny Healthy Family cafe 0+ Image credit: Tiny Cafe Google Page Milk and Madu - Canggu Many of you probably know this place already, but if it’s your first time, it’s a lovely spot for breakfast, lunch or dinner. There are two locations in Canggu, and both have a playground for the little guests. The menu also has plenty of kids-friendly options like pancakes, meatballs, burgers, and milkshakes. It’s usually buzzing with families, especially on weekends, and the atmosphere gets even livelier when there’s live music. A nice all-rounder for a meal out with the whole family. 📍Google map: Milk and Madu Berawa, Milk and Madu Beach Road Image credit: Milk and Madu Instagram You may also like this article: Got a Sweet Tooth? Add These Dessert Spots in Bali to Your List! Tarra Belle - Uluwatu This one takes “kids-friendly” to the next level with its very own dedicated kids club. It’s free for dining guests, but there are also classes and activities you can sign the little ones up for at reasonable prices. With both indoor and outdoor play areas and attentive staff keeping an eye on the kids, the parents can enjoy a little breather, too. The restaurant menu keeps things simple with quick and easy options like wraps, sandwiches and salad bowls. 📍Google map: Tarrabelle/ Tarabelle Kids Club Image credit: Tarrabelle Website La Naya - Seminyak We love this Japan-inspired spot, and it even made it onto our Seminyak restaurant list! Aside from the good food, the place itself is lovely, with bright, pretty interior. The kids’ playground is a nice bonus too, making it a spot that both little ones and grown-ups can enjoy. A few things on the menu that everyone will love are the onigiri and sando, but whatever you do, save some room for their kakigori!  📍Google map: La Naya Bali Lihat post ini di Instagram Shooters - Petitenget This is a playground for the bigger kids, and even bigger kids (aka us adults, hehe). Usually, we find a place to eat while the kids play, but here, we go somewhere to play and then we nibble. The whole family can get in on the fun with activities like mini golf, giant jenga, foosball and basketball, plus axe throwing for the grown-ups. And when you’ve worked up an appetite from all that playing, tuck into some good old comfort food, like pizzas and burgers. 📍Google map: Shooters Bali Image credit: Shooters Instagram You may also like this article: Where to Go for Burgers in Bali - Kata Bella's List 2026 Shotgun Social - Sanur Sanur itself is a pretty family-friendly neighbourhood, so you'll find plenty of places where the whole family can hang out. One of the most popular spots for a family gathering is Shotgun Social, with its big lawn and spacious playground where the kids can run around. For the parents, aside from the nice dining area, there’s a bar serving craft beer, so you can unwind and enjoy a little grown-up time while the kids have their fun. 📍Google map: Shotgun Social Bali Lihat post ini di Instagram Lamis Resto - Sanur Another Sanur gem that comes recommended by the locals. Lamis Resto has a spacious seating area and a big playground, complete with a trampoline, bicycles, a sandpit and even a mini obstacle course. It’s also a popular spot for events, from kids’ birthday parties to family gatherings. To top it all off, the food and drinks are reasonably priced, making it an easy choice for a family time. 📍Google map: Lamis Resto Lihat post ini di Instagram Of course, dining out with little ones might not always be the most relaxing experience (we imagine there’s a lot of thinking and negotiating involved, hehe), but at least a playground gives them somewhere to put all that energy to good use. And who knows, you might even get to finish your meal while it’s still warm. Hope you find this list useful and thank you for reading!
